I’m Going to Write a Book!

Here is my plan on accomplishing this amazing feat:

  1. Establish a strong book idea. Writing a book needs a well thought out idea and I think I have it! Using research, passion, and real life experiences, I think I have the best idea for the book I want to produce.
  2. Conduct research on similar books/topics to increase the likeliness of mine. Here I want to review different books that are similar to my idea. Read the reviews, read the first chapters, and take notes. This will help with flow, twists, themes, and overall appeals. I will ask myself “how could I have made their book better?” I’m hoping that doing this will help with my book.
  3. Create an outline. This will be challenging for me because I’m a person who at my most has written a 20 page paper in college. But with this passion driven from the heart, I’d like to have roughly 10 chapters. 10–20 pages per chapter. Creating an outline is so beneficial and is what I think one of the most important steps in writing a book.
  4. Figure out the title of the book. My goodness, this is going to keep me up at nights. I want something simple yet appealing. Maybe I’ll do a poll on here someday to help me out. But like I said, simple and appealing is what I’m looking for.
  5. Determine a timeline. Following the creation of the outline, design a realistic writing schedule. I am a person who needs structure, a routine, and a plan. So once an outline is created, I can proceed with making the best but realistic timeline. Get goals, pages…
